Your student visa for Spain, from start to finish
We take care of your visa
So you can focus on getting ready for Madrid ☕
Coffee & Houses works with a partner immigration law firm that handles your student visa application from start to finish. We stay by your side throughout the process: we explain each step, help you get your documents ready and answer your questions along the way.
And while your visa is on its way, we find you a home near your university and help you settle in when you land.
How the process works
Five steps from your application to your new home
1 · Tell us about your plans
Have a coffee with us — in person or by video call — and tell us where you’re coming from, what you’ll study and when you plan to arrive.

5 · Arrival & settling in
We can pick you up at the airport, take you to your new home and help you through your first days — or just hand you the keys. You decide.

What you’ll usually need
Every case is different, but for a Spanish student visa you’ll usually need:
- A letter of admission from a school or university in Spain
- A valid passport
- Health insurance valid in Spain
- Proof that you can cover your living costs during your studies
- For stays longer than six months, a criminal record certificate and a medical certificate
Requirements depend on your nationality and on the consulate, so our partner law firm will confirm exactly what applies to you.
Questions & answers
If you’re a citizen of the EU, the EEA or Switzerland, you don’t. Otherwise, you’ll usually need one for studies longer than 90 days. Tell us where you’re from and we’ll confirm it for you.
No one can: the final decision always belongs to the Spanish consulate. What we can promise is that a specialised law firm prepares your application carefully, and that you won’t go through the process alone.
As early as possible. Processing times depend on the consulate and the time of year, so we recommend getting in touch a few months before your course begins.
Of course. Every service is optional: you can count on us just to find your home, pick you up at the airport or help you settle in.
No. We can do everything remotely before you arrive — by email, WhatsApp or video call.
